Spring Fair


The Spring Fair, organized by the Melton Space team, is set to bring a burst of energy to Melton Country Park on 12th April. This event combines live music with fun demonstrations.


The Welly’s team will be on hand to serve up a variety of treats, including their famous lemonade – a must-try for all visitors. This refreshing drink has earned its reputation for good reason, and it’s the perfect accompaniment to a day of spring festivities.

Back by popular demand


Melton Mowbray’s residents have spoken, and their favorite markets are making a comeback. These recurring markets and fairs are sure to become regular fixtures in your monthly calendar.

The makers market (formally the vintage and craft market)


The beloved vintage and craft market has undergone a rebranding, emerging as the makers market. Set to take place on Sunday, 6th April.

Visitors can expect to find a wide array of handcrafted goods, from artisanal foods to unique home decor items. The market continues to feature the popular vintage cars that have become a staple of the event.

For those who can’t make it this month, don’t worry – the makers market will be a recurring event on the first Sunday of every month until November. It’s the perfect opportunity to support local artisans and find one-of-a-kind treasures.

Stockyard Saturdays



Stockyard Saturdays are back for the 2025 season, kicking off on 12th April. This market, aptly named for its location, brings together local producers, craftspeople, and food vendors in a vibrant community space.

Visitors can expect to find fresh produce, artisanal goods, and unique crafts from local makers. It’s an excellent opportunity to support small businesses and grab an award winning pint all in one place.

Like the makers market, Stockyard Saturdays will be a recurring event, taking place monthly between April and August. If you miss one, there’s always next month to look forward to!

The Vegan Market


The Vegan Market returns to the Market Place on Sunday, April 13th, from 10:30 am to 4 pm. This event has gained popularity since its inception, offering a diverse array of plant-based products and foods.

Visitors can explore stalls featuring vegan cosmetics, clothing, and household items, as well as a wide variety of delicious plant-based foods. It’s an excellent opportunity for vegans and non-vegans alike to discover new products and flavors.

Even if you’re not vegan, this market is worth a visit. The quality and variety of food on offer might just surprise you.

Family friendly shows at Melton Theatre



The Melton Theatre is hosting two fantastic productions this month. First up is Shrek The Musical, performed by the Melton Mowbray Musical Theatre Company from April 9th to 12th. This “Shrektacular” show promises to bring the beloved animated characters to life on stage.



Following Shrek, the theater will present a special Easter pantomime of The Wizard of Oz on April 18th. This production offers a unique twist on the classic tale, complete with jokes, dance sequences, and a journey down the yellow brick road.

Both shows are family-friendly and offer affordable ticket options. It’s a great way to introduce children to the magic of live theater while enjoying some quality family time.

Eggstreame Entertainment At Twinlakes Park

The Great Easter Egg Hunt at Place Close Park on Easter Sunday (April 20th) is set to be a highlight of the holiday weekend. Organized by the Town Estates, this event goes beyond just egg hunting, offering a range of activities for children.

From 11 am to 2 pm, kids can enjoy circus skills activities, bubble football, and even meet a baby velociraptor! It’s a unique blend of traditional Easter fun and exciting new experiences.

Pork Pie Comedy Club Does Easter



For the adults, the Pork Pie Comedy Club at the Harboro Hotel offers an evening of laughter on Easter Sunday. Headlined by Jon Pearson, this comedy night is the perfect way to round off your Easter celebrations.
