Open on select dates from October 4th to 31st, this spine-tingling event offers seven terrifying attractions, including the new Blutlust, captivating street performances, and an opportunity to brave two major rides in total darkness. Thrill-seekers can try zombie paintball for an extra cost. Ticket prices range from £31.50 to £42.30 per person, varying by date, and it is definitely NOT suitable for children. Teens aged 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Rest assured, parents, little Timmy won’t miss a thing if he stays home watching Ms. Rachel.
Twinlakes Family Scream Park

For a more child-friendly outing, head to the Family Scream Park at Twinlakes. Enjoy free pumpkin carving, mummy wrapping contests, a costume parade, and even a monster rave on select October dates—perfect for providing your children with a delightful break during half-term without any nightmares. Your ticket also includes access to Twinlakes’ usual attractions, featuring rides, slides, and adorable animals.
Gonk Making

If you have a creative streak, join the themed gonk crafting session at The Crown in Asfordby on October 24th. Priced at £30 per person, it includes tuition, materials, and your own delightful gonk to take home. The session runs from 6:00 to 8:30 pm, perfect for an escape from work, university, or college. Town Park Firework Festival And Concert

For a delightful family evening, attend this year’s firework festival and concert at Place Close Park on November 1st, from 6:00 to 10:30 pm. The event features a DJ, and Abba and Queen tribute acts, alongside a stunning fireworks display. For those with sensitive hearing, there’s an early sensory-friendly display. Tickets are £10 per adult, £5 for children under 12, and £24.60 for a family ticket covering two adults and two children. Purchase all tickets through the Melton Mowbray Town Estate website.
Meltdown Freakfest
For those who love to rock out, don’t miss Meltdown, the returning emo, rock, and metal club night on November 1st. This 18+ event showcases live performances from Melton Mowbray’s own Scene It All Before, with Halfway Home headlining. Still not convinced? DJs Mulletron and Danny Darkness will amp up the energy, accompanied by various games and competitions throughout the night. Plus, Mind’s Eye Apparel and Icon Music will set up merchandise stalls for souvenir hunters. Tickets are £9 per person, with the event starting at 10 pm.
